Physical Therapy Frequently Asked Questions

Do you treat patients one-on-one or as a group?

We provide a unique service where all our physical therapy care is delivered one-on-one. We do not employ physical therapy assistants or aides to treat our patients. This ensures that our care is quality-focused with meticulous attention to detail.

Do I need a doctor’s referral to see a physical therapist at CSC+M?

No, you do not need a referral to receive physical therapy at CSC+M. We are considered a portal of entry facility, allowing direct access to our services.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions required varies depending on the nature and severity of your condition. Your physical therapist will provide an estimate based on your progress throughout treatment.

What should I wear to my physical therapy appointment?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for easy movement. Athletic wear, such as shorts, leggings, and a t-shirt, is typically recommended. If you’re receiving therapy for a specific area, ensure that your clothing allows easy access to that part of your body.

How can I prevent injuries in the future?

Your physical therapist will advise you on proper body mechanics, posture, and exercises that strengthen muscles and improve flexibility, helping you to prevent future injuries.

Will my insurance cover physical therapy?

Most insurance plans cover physical therapy, but coverage varies. It’s important to check with your insurance provider to understand what is covered and if there are any limitations, such as the number of sessions allowed.

PHYSICAL THERAPY TESTIMONIALS

Ravi A.

Was referred to this place by a friend for my sciatica issues. Started in late June with an assessment by Dr.Chris Anselmi and have been working with him and Dr.Miller for PT. It’s been a little over 2 months and already feeling better. As with most of sports injuries, we need to do our part with exercises and stretches. I’m doing the same and hope to be fully up and running (literally). Their treatment is very organized with a chiropractic session, followed by PT and a massage. You don’t have to repeat your story with every treatment as the therapist is briefed in advance and they start working without bothering you. My experience has been good so far and I’d recommend this place to runners and people with sports injuries.

Prior to finding out about Anastasia, I thought I was doomed to the embarrassing stresses that come with incontinence. Utilizing the strategies and knowledge that Anastasia shared, my symptoms began to dissipate after each session—I’m learning how to take back my life and I’m so happy!!!

The actual treatment and my reduction in hip pain and increase in mobility is really life changing. Anastasia taught me how to treat myself at home with the wand and with pelvic floor exercises. I currently treat myself 3x a week to keep my hip pain at bay. I also appreciated the informative lunch session about pelvic floor therapy to dive deeper into the topic and help me further understand how I can help myself at home.

The entire team I have worked with have been amazing. I love that they offer PT, acupuncture, massage, and more all in one location!

Linnea, a physical therapist and pelvic floor therapist, is incredible. She is extremely knowledgeable about both anatomy and the visceral workings of the body. She is an excellent listener and adapts her program on the spot if necessary to attend to your needs. I have benefitted from her amazing skills as both a PT and pelvic floor therapist and absolutely love how she knows when to push you and when you need more restorative care. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Andrew, a physical therapist, is excellent! He is so attentive to form and precision and has really helped me correct bad habits in my approaches to exercise and everyday movements. His training is top notch and his approach is so supportive while also encouraging you to reach your best. Highly recommend!

I’ve sought out PT at other places in town over the last decade and the care and attention from the practitioners and the friendly and caring staff at the Center for Spine Care + Mobility is by far the BEST I’ve ever encountered.

I’m so grateful I found CSCM when I needed them. Linnea is a very knowledgeable, skilled, and thoughtful Physical Therapist who is always enhancing her robust education and finding creative, evidence-based, tailored solutions that work for her clients. It helps that she is really approachable, friendly, and easy to work with too! Before coming here I tried another well-known PT clinic in the city where a room full of therapists juggled multiple clients at the same time and it felt chaotic, impersonal, and ineffective to me. Here, I not only get quality PT care but it’s integrated with exceptional chiropractic care from Dr Anselmi and Dr Schuman, precision acupuncture from Jeff, and therapeutic massage from Vanessa and Chenita – an incredible team that genuinely cares and who all coordinate on my individual treatment plan. I refer all my friends and coworkers here. Highly recommend.

I’m having an exceptional experience at the Center for Spine Care and Mobility (CSC+M). The team whom I work closely with include Dr. Anselmi, Dr. Schuman, Dr. Simpson, and Dr. Petersen. From the warm and welcoming office staff, to everyone in the Center, they have contributed to a supportive and comfortable environment. The team’s coordination and communication are exemplary, making each visit smooth and stress-free. Overall, the Center for Spine Care and Mobility has provided me with high-quality, top-notch patient-centered care. I highly recommend this team of professionals to anyone seeking specialized spine and mobility care. In short, I love this place! John Turner

I went to CSC+M for a shoulder injury and was very happy with the results.  They have a talented team and multiple treatments available. I was interested in myofacial treatment, which is why I sought out Dr. Anselmi in the first place. The chiropractors, PT and massage therapist all helped to get me healed and on my way.  The at-home exercises which I continue to do have kept me painless and functioning.  The support staff is helpful and efficient.  CSC+M is now at the top of my list.
